About Me

Deanna Nelson-Mckie ( 1 of 4 members ) is a Textiles and Fashion designer working within  a focus of African-Caribbean narratives and history. Often turning to the past for inspiration. Deanna seeks out narratives, materials and textures in mostly artefacts, hairstyles, adornments, lifestyle and dress. Deanna uses these elements to create and influence garment designs, prints, textile art and objects / ‘’artefacts’’.
